This lecture provides an introduction to system dynamics and simulation. The focus is the key idea of accumulations, as these are the building blocks of any system dynamics model.
Accumulations are also known as stocks or levels, and represent a given quantity of a variable at a point in time. Stocks change only through their flows, and are represented mathematically as integrals (where flows are derivatives).
